Open Country Dairy Limited

Open Country was formed in 2001 with production commencing in Waharoa in September 2004. Open Country now has three sites, Waharoa, Awarua, and Wanganui, with combined capacity of 800 million litres of milk per annum making Open Country the second largest dairy processor in New Zealand, exporting to around 45 countries world-wide.

Kaimai Cheese Company Limited

At the Cuisine New Zealand Champions of Cheese Awards Kaimai was the Champion Feta Cheese winner, it was a Gold Award Medal Winner with its Creamy Blue, a Silver Award Medal Winner for its Feta, and Bronze Award Winner for its Bocconcini and Crumbly Blue. The previous year it was the Champion White Mould Cheese Winner with its Double Cream Camembert and it won awards for its Blue Brie, Havarti, and Washed Rouge.

Te Mata Cheese Company Limited

At the Cuisine New Zealand Champions of Cheese Awards Te Mata won a Gold Award Medal for its Bayview Blue, Silver Award Medals for its Paki Paki and Irongate, and Bronze Award Medals for its Kidnappers Brie and Creamy Blue. The previous year it was the Champion Blue Cheese Winner for its Creamy Blue and it won awards for its French Style Blue, Summerlee Goat Curd, Goat Milk Brie, Port Ahuriri Blue, and Mt Erin Goat Milk Brie.

Grate Kiwi Cheese Company Limited

Grate Kiwi Cheese was established under the name Oceanic Foods Limited in 1990 and began grating and blending cheese for the New Zealand market in 1991. It specialises in providing large catering size packs producing house-brand grated cheese in 1kg, 2kg and 5kg bags predominantly for the food service market. It has six of its own brands in the market, each being produced in all three sizes. It has introduced two new products to the market: shaved and shredded parmesan.

Cheese Logistics Limited

Cheese Logistics is a contract manufacturing business established in July 2007. It produces some of New Zealand’s most well known brands under contract for a very large multinational company.

DIFL is managed by GT & Company Limited, which both identifies and evaluates investment opportunities on DIFL’s behalf and then manages those investments to realise their potential.
